Education

Bachelor’s degree from a professionally accredited architecture program or eight years experience required.  Advanced degree optional.

 

Experience:

 

Five years as an architect required.  Experience with design of Healthcare Facilities preferred.  Design supervision and Project Management experience is desirable.  Working knowledge of Building and Life Safety codes required. AutoCAD experience required.

 

Licensure,

certification, and/or

registration:

 

Current Licensure as an Architect in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.

 

Other Minimum

Qualifications:

 

Effective interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), problem solving and teamwork skills required. AIA membership desirable. Ability to maintain detailed records.    Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
