This person\u00A0will fill an exciting and fast-paced role within our Engineering department. Qualified individuals will\u00A0possess\u00A0strong engineering experience in the areas of the product life cycle, testing, CAD/PDM systems, product architecture for manufacturing, VAVE, and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesProvides technical leadership for Sustaining/Refresh Engineering, Product Testing, Service Center, and Machine Shop Departments.Executes engineering strategy for product life cycle, including industrial engineering, Design For Manufacture (DFM), cost-out programs, product simplification and Engineering Change Management.Has a lead role in the industrialization of products and integration to MRP systems.Manages and mentors several teams of engineers and technicians.Partners with the New Product Design, Software, and Compliance Teams to support New Product Developments and Refresh Programs.Plans and directs product life cycle improvement projects.Participates in DFMEAs activities as requested.Contributes to creating product test plans.Drives integration of regulatory and compliance standards within product improvements.Ability to produce Product Requirements documentation to communicate BAF product needs.Monitors quality and ensures compliance with procedures and engineering standards.Sets priorities for department activities based on stakeholder needs and business objectives.Directs initiatives to maintain and improve CAD/GD&T requirements/PDM systems, and processes to load product bill of materials into MRP platforms.Oversees ECR/ECO processes to ensure high-quality product changes are implemented into production.RequirementsBachelor\u2019s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering is required12 years\u2019 experience in the development and life cycle management of electro-mechanical products8 years\u2019 experience in providing direct and project leadership for engineers and/or other technically skilled individualsFamiliarity with metal fabrication, welding, injection molding and other manufacturing processes.Must have excellent track record of managing engineering teams through successful and timely product launchesAbility to work in a fast-paced organization, meeting multiple deadlines and succeeding under pressureExperience with AutoCAD, Solidworks or other CAD softwareProficient in the design of parts, assemblies, and drawings and can mentor engineers and designersUnderstanding of FEA (Finite Element Analysis)Ability to work in a team environment and provide leadership within a cross-functional project team, utilizing excellent organizational and communication skillsA humble and empathetic leader with the ability to hold others accountable, keep them focused, and delivering on timeWhy live life Big Ass?You want benefits?
