SUMMARY: The primary role of this position is to manage the product drawing system for the business unit. The responsibilities for the CAD Designer include but are not limited to creating product drawings for sales and production needs; maintaining the drawings by processing all changes to products; creating drawings per other engineering needs; performing design calculations; and making recommendations for specific elements of a product design. Also this position will efficiently process all Engineering Change Requests (ECR) in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, self-starter with the ability to manage the product drawing process and follow up on any questions as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: \u2022 Creates new product drawings based on current design. \u2022 Creates product drawings for new designs with guidance from engineer. \u2022 Creates ECR\u2019s, followed by research of needed change. \u2022 Makes drawing changes for ECR\u2019s. \u2022 Manages ECR approval routing process. \u2022 Utilizes basic engineering for some basic product designs. \u2022 Acts as the hiring manager and supervisor for interns, as needed. \u2022 Other duties as assigned.
