Infrastructure Drafter / CAD Operator

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
Candidate will ensure communications information is available to forward deployed forces supporting continuing mission requirements of the Department of Defense (DoD) by providing support to communications systems acquisition, integration, installation, operations & maintenance (O&M) in support of USAFCENT deployed mission requirements. There is no specification or limitation to the actual tasks to be performed. Candidate will work as part of a team and must display a rigorous work ethic and possess the initiative and independent thinking to thrive in a dynamic environment. Candidate must have the ability to engineer, install and maintain network equipment to support new and emerging requirements. The candidate shall provide responsive services to include real-time network-level configuration control, network restoration, quality control and performance standards, status reporting, MSL, and other actions required by policies, responsibilities and operational support to all NOSC deployed projects.
Candidate must possess intermediate experience in the following:
Preparing Level 3 engineering drawings, circuit schematics, and illustrations using AUTOCAD or Micro Station for electronics systems or equipment
Preparing detailed CAD drawings of telecommunications, IT infrastructure, systems to reflect engineering solutions, and to facilitate installation of the telecommunications and IT infrastructure
Preparing final as-built drawings that become part of the facility records in AutoCAD to USAF or US Army standards
Performing visual inspections and conducting precise measurements to verify engineering drawings for electronic systems or equipment
Provide all facets of engineering expertise to design, procure, install, test and integrate various size systems into existing customer infrastructures
Support the day-to-day technical operations of the I/O infrastructure
Analyze and evaluate existing communications networks and infrastructure
Operate and maintain I/O cable plant software and provide CAD drawing capability for the creation and update of C4 telecommunications, IT infrastructure, and systems drawings
Independently read field notes and translate the information to AutoCAD.
Maintain project drawing files, associated records and documentation in an orderly condition.
Modify communication drawings based on rough sketches, marked‐up copies, and/or verbal instructions.
Managing communication architecture, configuration, and integration conformity
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Active Defense (DoD) security clearance at TOP SECRET / SCI level is required
US Citizenship is required
Valid United States passport required
Must have a high school diploma
Experience using computer systems and Microsoft Office suite of products
Ability to accurately document routine work and while utilizing problem-solving techniques
Well-developed oral and written communications skills
Knowledge of Software - Auto CAD, Microsoft Project, VISIO, ArcGIS, Google Earth
Project management experience a plus
TRAVEL: Up to 75%
Associates degree in from a school in drafting or illustration required
Must have completed AUTOCAD Levels 1 and 2 training; proof required
