ASCO Power Technologies, an industry leader in the manufacturing of automatic transfer switches, industrial control products and power control systems, services and solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a CAD Administrator in Florham Park NJ.   Position Summary: The CAD Administrator is responsible for managing the configuration, installation, maintenance, and support of company\u2019s CAD systems including but not limited to PTC Creo and Pro\/Intralink. This position is also responsible for plans, tests, and deployments of system updates, hardware upgrades, collaboration with other departments, and disaster recovery plans. This position is responsible for proper ongoing maintenance and structure of engineering documentation including cad models, drawings, calculations, test reports, bills of materials, engineering change notices and orders, and other engineering documents. This position is responsible for the quality and on-time delivery of assigned tasks. Essential Functions: Works with guidance from department manager  Administers PTC Creo, and other software, including moving\/deleting\/rollback of files  Supports software implementation, migration, and upgrades  Assures security administration of users and permissions  Prepares disaster recovery plans and procedures  Acts as an advocate of PLM\/PDM\/CAD best practices, methods, and processes  Creates documentation and training guidelines for models, drawings, ECN\u2019s, ECO\u2019s, and BOM\u2019s  Performs end user training and serves as a mentor for the engineering staff  Keeps management apprised of technical and personnel developments  Reviews license usage  Maintains department\u2019s computer hardware Provides weekly and monthly reports on status of projects  Organizes hands on training for new employees  Continues education in job related subjects, attends seminars and conferences  Travels as required to other plants  Other duties may be assigned Qualifications     Qualifications: General understanding of engineering CAD systems, user support, and SOP documentation  Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with internal team members and external consultants  Interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees, including senior managers  Demonstrated ability to represent the company as a technical expert  Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to analyze and articulate technical problems  Previous experience with various software and business systems such as Autodesk, PTC, SolidWorks, Teamcenter PLM, Oracle, SAP.  Previous experience with data migration, import, export, and data mapping  Previous experience with bom generation and product configuration management  Able and willing to work extended hours and travel domestic and international  Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments  Able to wear protective equipment and be mindful of personal safety standards  Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office - Power Point, Word, Excel, Visio  Demonstrated PTC Creo\/Intralink system administration Education\/Experience:  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and\/or Information Technology  At least five years of progressive professional experience in engineering systems administration  Equivalent working experience in the field in lieu of education is acceptable We seek out and reward people for being straightforward, open, passionate, effective and challenging the status quo.
