In partnership with LeClairRyan, we are excited to announce that we are currently seeking a Graphic Designer in our Richmond, Virginia office who will contribute to overall success and help secure the bright future of our organization.
Established in August 2015, the Administrative Operations office acts as a hub to provide administrative support to LeClairRyan offices nationwide. The office is home to approximately 65 employees from the Firms’ Human Resources, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, and Conflicts Resolution and Client Intake departments. With a team focused, collaborative work environment, the Administrative Operations office is an illustration of LeClairRyan’s dedication to innovation within the legal community.
The Graphic Designer will support the brand identity of the firm, directly reporting to the Director of Marketing & Business Development. Key responsibilities include concepting, designing, and producing print and electronic materials for the firm — branding, brochures, newsletters, email blasts, advertisements, invitations, presentations, and pitch and proposal materials. The ideal Graphic Designer will be comfortable working within a team environment and with attorneys and professional staff in multiple locations.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:
Design, develop and/or revise firm-wide marketing materials such as team brochures, newsletters, advertisements, handouts, RFPs, pitch books, client presentations, logos, posters, invitations, web images, etc., for internal and external audiences and in consultation with the Director of Marketing & Business Development, office leaders and/or administrative directors
Alter or repair graphic elements as necessary and/or place or convert graphic elements into correct formats/programs
Create and/or manipulate graphic elements (photos, logos, themes, etc.) for use in client-facing and internal marketing communications efforts
Manage production of various project deliverables, from design phase through delivery, including brochures, invitations, advertisements, PowerPoint, fliers, etc.
Handle various special requests related to graphic design services on an as assigned/as needed basis
Produce firm advertisements and assist with conceptualizing imagery and content
Assist in the design and development of firm blogs
Serve as backup for posting to firm social media platforms (blogs, Twitter,
LinkedIn and Facebook)
Bachelor's degree, with graphic design major, or equivalent, required
Minimum 1-2 years experience, or equivalent, preferably in a professional services environment, with graphic design as a primary responsibility
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to design and communicate clearly for a variety of media
General understanding of legal and business concepts, or the capacity to learn them quickly
Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to exercise good business judgment and diplomacy in complex situations
Self-motivated, independent and able to work well with senior management, lawyers and professional staff
Knowledge of following computer programs/software required:
MAC and PC
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint)
Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash and InDesign
Social media and blogging platforms (Primarily WordPress)
SharePoint and HandShake experience a plus
Additionally, knowledge and experience with print and video production process by external vendors is required.
Willingness to be flexible, including working overtime, and performing responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities as the Department's needs change.
