The NewGraduate Electrical Engineer will assist other Engineers in performing standardaspects of Electrical engineering assignments\.In this role, the engineer will develop familiarity with analysis &design software tools, electrical equipment & wiring methods, electricalproject design workflow and design processes, company and department operatingprocedures, and Owner processes\.
The ElectricalEngineer will assist the development of preliminary and detail design for a varietyof projects for industrial clients ranging from modifications to existingplants to new facilities\.
The ElectricalEngineer will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and designersto perform a variety of analysis and design tasks including, calculations, electricalpower and control schematic wiring design, plan drawing development, and assistingwith estimates, etc\. The engineer will learn design and drafting standards aspart of their efforts\.
The ElectricalEngineer will become familiar with project scopes, specifications, designcriteria, and vendor drawing review\.
The ElectricalEngineer will research code issues as they pertain to project related issues\.
The ElectricalEngineer will research design options and document findings for Project LeadEngineers
The ElectricalEngineer will work collaboratively with the CAD designers to develop detailedconstruction documentation including wiring diagrams, plan drawings, andsupporting schedules\.
The ElectricalEngineer will contribute to the preparation of engineering/analysis reports andother technically related documents\.
The ElectricalEngineer is expected to proactively seek, and be responsive when collaboratingwith others to develop, required project information\. The engineer can expectto interface with other electrical discipline personnel, personnel in otherdisciplines, vendor representatives, and Owner representatives\.
The ElectricalEngineer will be expected to perform all work to the best of their ability inan efficient manner with minimal error\.
The ElectricalEngineer will perform other duties as required\.
Bachelorof Science in Electrical Engineering is required
EITcertificate is preferred\.The ElectricalEngineer is to commit to working towards and obtaining their professionalregistration\.
Oneprevious summer internship experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation ispreferred
Goodlistening, writing and communication skills
Proficientin the use of MS Word, Excel and Mail
Theoretical knowledge of Electricalengineering
Workingknowledge of CAD software such as AutoCad or Microstation is preferred
TheEngineer will be expected to develop a working knowledge of and the applicationof:
NationalElectrical Code \(NFPA 70\)
Standardfor Electrical Safety in the Workplace \(NFPA 70E\)
Asthe Engineer develops, work assignments will increasingly necessitate researchingand developing a working knowledge of and the application of other codes andstandards including, but not limited to:
NationalElectrical Safety Code \(NESC\)
InternationalBuilding Code \(IBC\)
IEEE,ANSI, UL, NEMA, etc\. standards as applicable
\-TheElectrical Engineer should anticipate working within client facilities, and attimes, other Jacobs offices and vendor sites\. The Electrical Engineer is expected to beavailable for travel as their assignments and responsibilities require\.

Jeffrey Jacobs is President of Jacobs Entertainment Inc, a film buying and marketing firm. He has 35 years of experience in the exhibition, marketing and distribution of American independent and international cinema in the U.S. He is perhaps best known as the founding film buyer for the Angelika Film Center in New York City which under his supervision (from opening day in 1989 until 1997) became the highest grossing art cinema in the country. He was the Managing Director and Film Buyer of the Paris Theatre from 1998 to 2009. At present, he programs over 50 movie theatre screens across the country.
