Role of Pre Sales Engineer:-

The Pre Sales Engineer is a dynamic, hands-on role that works closely with the sales, business development, marketing and product development teams, as well as the broader community. You are responsible for crafting and representing client products in the market, and act as the lead solutions engineer during the presales and business development process.

Duties and Responsibilities of Pre Sales Engineer:-

Serve as a liaison between the product and sales teams, educating current and future client Enterprise/SMB clients on our product suite

Provide technical pre-sales and solution engineering support to client representatives, documenting customer use cases and technical requirements and then proposing a unified solution

Demonstrate client products both over the web and at client sites

Lead design sessions with strategic Enterprise/SMB clients, detailing high level design plans to the client team through specifications, site diagrams, and wireframes.

Provide input to the team lead and the VP of Product on the Enterprise/SMB product roadmap

Represent cleint at conferences and community events, through speaking engagements, blogging, and participation on list-serves

Strategically engage the broader enterprise technology and developer community, identifying new business development, sales, and developer opportunities

Create support materials and documentation for client products and develop training courses for cleint University

Provide on site training for strategic Enterprise/SMB clients

Consult existing clients to review use of client products and identify up sell opportunities

Job Requirements

Job Requirements for Pre Sales Engineer -

Graduate degree preferred, in Computer Science, Technology, Media, or Information Systems

At least 5 years of experience, preferably in SAAS technology

Demonstrated leadership and experience in technical pre-sales, product, product marketing, or complex software sales at a leading technology company

Experience leading design sessions, documenting use cases, and proposing software solutions

Excellent speaking, presentation, and writing skills

Ability to create product marketing materials in standard software programs

Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Candidate must be results-oriented, pro-active, self-motivated and work well in a team environment

Must be comfortable working within a dynamic, changing, and challenging environment where everyone does it all, and work extensive and unconventional hours

Must be willing to travel – domestically and internationally (Travel usually on the West Coast, US)
