PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop design concepts using modeling software. * Prepare drawings from engineering specifications and calculations, using 3D modeling software for review and approval by engineering and customer. * Prepare shop fabrication 2D orthographic drawings. * Work with technicians to interpret designs\/drawings, answer questions, and make changes as needed. * Prepare Bill of Materials for each project. * Inspect manufactured parts. FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: * A minimum of an Associate's degree in drafting technology or pre-engineering from an accredited school. * A minimum of 2 years 3D solid modeling and 2D drafting experience required using Solid Edge or similar CAD Experience. * Thorough understanding of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T * Knowledge of weld symbols and form & fit. * Experience creating detailed shop drawings and assemblies. * Able to effectively prioritize and balance work from multiple projects. * Good communication, computer, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage complex design tasks with multiple work phases. * Successful candidate must be organized, self-motivated, work independently, positive attitude and reliable.
