Description Jacobs Federal Network Systems (FNS) provides highlysophisticated network systems design, engineering, operations, and maintenance,and offers cutting edge cybersecurity solutions for our customers in theIntelligence Community, Department of Defense, and other federal agencies. Jacobs is looking for an Installer\/CD&D personnel at Culpepper, VA location. The candidate must have experience in all facets ofnetwork and infrastructure documentation, which includes the physicaldocumenting of CAT5 and fiber optic cabling, network device hardware, racks andrack elevations. Ability to understand and decipher network diagrams, build runlists and create network blueprints. Also includes but not limited to: surveys, installingother conveyances, pulling and terminating cable, determining and implementingrequired pin outs, installing and configuring equipment chase, network racks,patch panels, etc., testing and documenting installations, dressing andlabeling cables, racks, patch panels, etc. Qualifications Active TS\/SCI with Poly security clearance Typically requires an Associate degree in a computer field and seven (7) years of related experience. Progressive relevant training and\/or certification may be substituted for a portion of theexperience requirement. Experience in cable installation and cable types (Copper,Fiber) Experience with network hardware and connections (SFP\u2019s,etc) Experience with AutoCad, Visio and Visionael Experience with MS Excel Experience in circuit design and documentation Experience with single mode and multi-mode cable preferred HS diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate degreein Engineering Technology or RCDD is a plus. Candidate must be PC literate and should have experiencein word processing and use of spreadsheet software packages. Driving a company car may be required; applicants must beable to provide proof of a valid driver's license and insurance. Essential Functions Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and climbladders. Must be able to trace cable under raised floors, and above dropceilings.\u00a0Work Environment: General Office environment. Thework environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadlinepressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork andcooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across theCompany and Customers. Wiring closets, data centers, crawl spaces, and offices.\u00a0Equipment and Machines: General office equipmentincluding PC\/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and othermiscellaneous office equipment.\u00a0Attendance: Attendance is critical at all times.Must be able to work a 40 hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday.However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. He has 35 years of experience in the exhibition, marketing and distribution of American independent and international cinema in the U.S. He is perhaps best known as the founding film buyer for the Angelika Film Center in New York City which under his supervision (from opening day in 1989 until 1997) became the highest grossing art cinema in the country. He was the Managing Director and Film Buyer of the Paris Theatre from 1998 to 2009. At present, he programs over 50 movie theatre screens across the country.
