Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Vertical transportation Engineer II for immediate employment in the New York, NY office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Collect and analyze data to prepare designs of vertical transportation systems.

Designing, modifying, and testing elevator/escalator components and systems.

Review shop drawings and Requests for Information (RFIs)

Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situation.

Team member for larger projects, reporting to senior level staff.

Check calculations and drawings performed by others.

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

4 years of relevant work experience

Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit

Knowledge of vertical transportation system application.

Knowledge of local and international elevator code requirements, field survey, vertical transportation system modernization and quality control.

Preferred Qualifications

EIT or QEI Licensed (or in process of obtaining)

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
