What We Offer As a representative of the Mattamy Corporate Architecture department, the CAD Technician\/Graphic Specialist\u00a0assists in providing architectural services to the company while striving to provide The Best Homeowner Experience. This involves performing various tasks and working with different areas of the business such as Marketing, Divisional Architecture, Purchasing, D\u00e9cor, and\/or Construction across all divisions of the company. Also communicates with external parties such as the Architect and Ad Agency in order to create marketing collateral. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support departmental goals by assisting departmental team members as directed by the Corporate CAD Manager Format CAD drawings from Architect for brochure creation Create Lot Specific Drawings from Architectural Masters Maintain Master files Coordinate renderings with external parties Review and coordinate brochures, sales displays and web assets Reviewing and coordinating floorplan updates across multiple formats, including Mattamy Website Contributing to process improvement, working to streamline process from architectural drawings to print-ready graphics files for sales purposes What You Bring Organization skills - ability to arrange information and files in a useful manner. Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Knowledge of International Residential Code (I.R.C.), International Energy Conservation Code (I.E.C.C.), wood framing and windstorm requirements. Ability to research municipal building requirements. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and surveys; prepare accurate detailed drawings from data supplied by field surveys; operate computer using standard drafting software packages. Ability to develop AutoCAD files for projects; maintain complete, readily accessible files and records; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and consultants. Ability to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced. Must be a self-driven and results oriented. Must have ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Experience Residential drafting experience required, with a minimum of 1 year in a volume builder environment. Knowledge of residential construction, FL building codes, and drafting standards Communication skills \u2013 effective oral and written communication skills including the correct usage of business English, grammar, and punctuation.\u00a0 Position Requirements: Architectural Technology\/Graphic Arts Diploma from a Community College, or equivalent Experience with InDesign and Illustrator Understands the image optimization process for web usage Understands the artwork production pre-press process for printing, including file preparation, retouching and resizing of artwork Understands various file extensions and ability to request file type accurately for required needs Understands online file delivery platforms, e.g. Hightail Knowledge of typography, color, usability, layout, production and other design principles a plus 1-2 years Architecture, Advertising or Graphics work experience Strong communication skills with ability to communicate verbally, in writing, and visually through use of architectural drawings Working knowledge of AutoCAD (version 2000 ) is required\u00a0 \u00a0Revit Experiences preferred Detail-orientated with ability to check documents\/drawings for accuracy, communicate detailed changes and ensure corrections are made Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time \u2013 must be a results oriented self-starter When you\u2019re part of the Mattamy Homes family, your day to day work has an incredible impact on the lives of our customers.
