Job Responsibilities/Duties

Successful applicant will be tasked to work with other electrical engineers and designers, and on multi-discipline teams, in developing electrical power distribution design, and electronic controls design. The job duties will involve originating and checking of design deliverables, as well as coordinating with internal and external organizations to ensure high quality design deliverables are completed within the allotted budget and schedule.Applies extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in assignments and related work. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods and represents the department in conferences to resolve important questions and coordinate work. Demonstrates interpolative thinking, utilizes advanced techniques, modifications or extensions to practiced theories, and is generally seasoned technically.May function as group leader on project or departmental task assignments.Provides engineering guidance, calculations, analysis, studies, and recommendations for a specialized segment of engineering within schedule and budget of an assigned project. Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.Comply with WRPS policies and proceduresEnsure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization's activitiesPerforms same job expectations as Engineer I.

Required Qualifications

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering plus a minimum of 10 years related experience

Desired Qualifications

Proficient with NEC 2014 Articles 110, 210, 215, 225, 230, 240, 250, 300, 310, 344, 400, 408, 427, 430, 450, Chapter 9 Tables and Annex C.Familiar with NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.Familiar with SKM load flow demand data, protective device data, short circuit data and arc flash data.Ability to generate electrical calculation documents including for sizing conductors, conduits and overcurrent protective devices.Ability to generate electrical and/or I&C one line diagrams, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams and connection diagrams.Ability to generate electrical and I&C hardware drawings, material lists, wire run schedules and conduit schedules.1 year experience with AutoCAD
