The Lawrenceville, NJ office of HDR is looking for an entry level Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
The primary duties of the Mechanical Engineer/EIT include:
Performs HVAC/Plumbing and/or Fire Protection engineering assignments for architectural building projects with instruction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager as to the results expected. Projects have clear specified objectives and limited variables. Works on small projects or assists more senior engineers on larger projects. May be assisted by Project Engineers other Mechanical EITs or Technicians. ','!*!Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical emphasis.
0 years’ experience designing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for building projects preferred. New graduates will be considered.
Previous internship beneficial. EIT preferred or ability to obtain.
Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office.
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred.
Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration.
Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
