LMI is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to support a Navy Client. This position will be located in the Northern Virginia area/Client Site in D.C.

Translate and convert conceptual ideas into a variety of visual communications, ensuring the intended message is conveyed through the use of design, photo editing, and illustration software.
Produce designs and layouts for documents and other collateral. This encompasses branding, brochures, infographics, posters, invitations, training and event materials, digital signage, advertisements, and briefing slides, as well as interactive and UI/UX components.
Contribute to brainstorm sessions and continually seek new and creative ways to present information.
Maintain an extensive organized library of stock imagery and digital assets.
Prepare files for digital or offset printing.
Establish and oversee production schedules for print media. Work with vendors to determine specs, obtain estimates, and review digital and press proofs.
Produce and mount signage for corporate and client events.
Manage simultaneous projects and remain flexible through revision rounds while keeping keen attention to detail.
Inform management of the status of major projects, overall workload, and workflow.
Maintain proficiency with current hardware and software packages and industry-related emerging technologies.
BA/BFA/BS in Graphic Design or a related communication arts field, with 1-5 years of experience.
Excellent design and typography skills.
Ability to create original, visually engaging print and web designs.
Ability to translate client goals, ideas, and feedback into cohesive brands and designs.
Excellent communication skills\u2014ability to comprehend written, drawn, and verbal instructions; present and communicate design concepts to customers; and collaborate with team members.
Self-starter with the ability to balance and prioritize assignments and manage time effectively with minimum supervision.
Highly motivated; able to work well alone and as part of a team.
Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear visual solutions. Strong creative problem-solving capabilities.
Able to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication.
Active Secret clearance.
Expert-level experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Elements, and ImageReady, as well as Microsoft PowerPoint and Publisher.
Mid-level proficiency with animation techniques in Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash, HTML, and CSS.
Photography experience with a digital SLR camera and subsequent photo retouching and editing.
Proficient with Macintosh and PC systems. Working knowledge of compatibility issues and ability to work cross-platform.
