Job Description
NMG Project Architect NMG is a design-build workplace solutions provider, offering a comprehensive package of products and services, and managing everything associated with a project on behalf of the owner, including conceptual design, space planning, procurement, installation and project management. NMG’s experienced design team provides innovative solutions to meet both the client’s vision and budget. The NMG final deliverable is a work environment that is both aesthetically pleasant and functionally efficient. \r
NMG seeks a Project Architect to work as part of creative team on complex, design build projects, with focus on healthcare. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate in a team environment, and must be comfortable with projects from start to finish. This position requires interacting with interior designers while ensuring the project deadlines are executed on-time. This employee will be expedient, able to develop details, self-motivated, and design sensitive. This position will report directly to the Manager of Architecture. Key Responsibilities: Monitor project progress Coordination with multiple disciplines, including procurement, accounting and logistics during a project cycle. Maintain close contact with all staff to in order to ensure high morale and production efficiency Assume a design role on selected projects as appropriate Collaborate with all staff for the development and realization of projects from start to finish Interior architectural space planning and design Client contact and presentations Design and production of CAD drawings and details required to produce construction documents Millwork design and detailing Finish detailing and lighting design Performs coaching and training as part of a proactive constant improvement strategy Coordinates schedules and plans effectively Actively communicates information appropriately throughout the organization Skills: Strong organizational skills Reads and interprets complex AutoCAD files Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with many different people at all levelsExpert verbal and written communication skills Must possess strong analytical skills Must maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards co-workers, supervisors, and clients at all times Must have ability to work effectively in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment, and meet or exceed deliverable expectations Creative and imaginative An eye for design, including color, and good 3D awareness The ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others Strong experience in management and implementation of design concepts, while maintaining project schedule and budget Must be comfortable interfacing with clients, consultants, vendors and staff Excellent project planning, change, and time management capabilities Qualifications: An NMG PA is responsible for daily production of construction documents and coordination with modular wall shop drawings. The candidate will be a disciplined, organized and a skilled computer user and able to develop solutions that are safe, functional, and attractive. Projects should be executed on-time according to the project schedule and meet and/or exceed client expectations. A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or relevant field is required Must be pursuing registration or registered. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a design professional is required Experience with hospital interior design-build projects is preferred Excellent organizational and time management skills Experience with MS Office applications is required Experience with AutoCAD/Revit is required Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally is preferred
