Job Description
OBJECTIVE:
The CAD/CAFM Coordinator uses CAD and other design/space technology software to provide support to the US Region Real Estate, Facilities and Procurement organization within the Space Planning and Design department. Holds responsibility to ensure all current drawings and systems are maintained, relevant space reports are generated on a regular basis and serves as the central point of contact regarding the space technology solution within a client environment. Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with construction and furniture terminology required. Expertise in CAD/CAFM and the methodologies and calculations used to generate and analyze allocation models critical.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Establish and maintain an organized file system for As-Built Drawings
Develop and maintain procedures and job aids to manage project turn-over of construction drawings as well as business as usual drawings updates to computer-aided design/drafting software system(s)
Update floor plans in AutoCAD and coordinate with CAFM firm to upload drawings and apply space standards.
Communicate and coordinate with other cross function groups for CAD needs
Generate reports and analysis
Manage and report space allocation data, including business presence and archiving
Provide allocation data in accordance with client Space Allocation Process
Actively and consistently lead all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Ensure accuracy of database information and confirm that it is in compliance with Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) standards.
Provide ongoing support to users of the CAFM system.
Proactively monitors, performing ongoing audits of the CAFM system to verify data standards are applied and kept up to date throughout the US Region Real Estate, Facilities and Procurement portfolio
Manage relationship with CAFM vendor(s)
Provide ongoing assistance during system updates, data loads, move projects, and provide research for data issues.
May conduct field verifications to survey building conditions, gather furniture inventory, and collect departmental space information to ensure Floor Plans are accurate.
May perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Required:
Holds Bachelors or Master's Degree in Architecture or related field required
Related Work Experience 8 year - combination of related work experience and/or training
Understands standards and guidelines for programming codes, procedures, documentation, project systems organization, and introducing new technology
Attention to small details to maintain space standards, accurate database information
Organized and self-motivated
Ability to work independently of supervision and with quick response time, even with multiple requests
Ability to read building floor plans; life & safety, and furniture
Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel & CAFM software (iOffice, Archibus, Manhattan, Center Stone, etc)
Proficient in Microsoft Office products; specifically, Word, Outlook, Project, Access and Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Works with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with heavy workloads
