Position has directnresponsibility for contract administration, change orders, claims andncompletion of assigned projects on time within specifications andnbudget. Candidate will report to the Division Manager, ProjectnManager, or Superintendent.nESSENTIAL DUTIES:n1. Assist Vice Presidents, Division Manager, and/or Project Managernin estimating, contract development and administration.n2. Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in progress schedulesnand scheduling support crews and subcontractors.n3. Meet with engineers, architects and clients to coordinate andnprice required design changes and to negotiate change orders asnnecessary.n4. Review and evaluate plans and specifications, cost, schedules,njob assignments, equipment utilization and needs, personnel needs,nand selection and performance of subcontractors.n5. Review and execute plan revisions, work orders and claims asnneeded.n6. Review accounts receivable and accounts payable to insure propernbilling of estimates, cost and payment of completed work.n7. See that new personnel receive proper orientation to acquaintnthem with company policies, safety requirements, and jobnresponsibilities.n8. Advise managers as to how improvements could be made in suchnareas as crew sizes, performance methods, techniques, qualitynwork, value engineering, etc.n9. Insure completion of all work assigned to the division withnemphasis on safety, quality, cost and time.n10. Monitor and insist upon compliance of all federal, state andnlocal regulations, OSHA, MSHA, corporate safety, AmericannDisabilities, affirmative action and equal employment regulationsnand guidelines.n11. Review accounts receivable and accounts payable to assure propernbilling of estimates, cost and payment of completed work.n12. Assist and direct personnel in the proper use and maintenance ofnequipment, improving job performance, controlling cost, increasingnproductivity, improving communications, and adhering to companynpolicies.n13. Maintain good working relationship with general public,nengineers, architects, inspectors, property owners, and customersnto facilitate job progress and to promote a positive companynimage. Develop a courteous and considerate attitude towards thesengroups.n14. Perform additional duties as required or as directed by the VicenPresident, Division Manager, or Project Manager.nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:nEducation:n* Construction Management or Civil Engineering DegreenWork Experience:n* Experience with CADD, Site Work, and Estimating software’s.n* Construction experience in commercial grade a plus.n* NCDOT experience a plus.n* To be considered, must have 3 to 5 years’ experience.nOther Requirements:n* Candidate should have experience with private turnkey civilnconstruction projects.nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:nLight physical effort required including pulling and lifting or movingnlight weight material with occasional lifting or moving materials ornequipment (over 5 and up to 25 pounds).nPHYSICAL ACTIVITY:nPosition is normally very good working conditions such as an officenenvironment, but may require infrequent work around any or all of thenfollowing: noise, dust, heat, cold, oil and heavy equipment. Personalnprotective equipment may be required.
