Position Details
Position Location: Supply Chain Operations Center, Irvine, KY Department: Quality Reports To: Director of Technical Design FLSA Status: Exempt Job Band
Summary
The primary function of this position is to provide timely and accurate patterns. The job involves constant communication both within the Department, Technical Design, Design, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Product Development. Create new patterns according to the design aesthetic, construction and specifications provided. Digitize patterns into the system as needed. Pattern development can involve working with sketches, photographs, garments, or documents referencing basic blocks. Providing support and problem solving for engineering, and manufacturing in the proto development stage through production.
Responsibilities
Develop first and production patterns. Maintain fit and pattern consistency by collaborating with Technical Design and following fit consensus directions. Ensure patterns are correct before communicating their release.
Evaluate pattern issues and provide support as needed to reach a resolution. Communicate the issue, progress, and resolution information to all departments involved.
Collaborate with Product Development / Technical Design to develop patterns and specifications for new products.
Develop and input grading information, style input, etc. as needed for new style setup.
Manage pattern change requests pertaining to production patterns for all Internal Manufacturing facilities.
Communicate correct set up of styles to multiple areas of the business.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Product Development, and Engineering to research opportunities to improve product margins.
Prepare Patterns for the 3D solution we are piloting within Optitex.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Preferred in Related Field
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelors’ degree, preferably related to Patterns or Drafting or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 6 years’ experience in Marking or Patterns, or in manufacturing/cutting environment required.
Intermediate computer skills required, specifically Microsoft Office.
Cognitive or spatial coordination and observation skills required.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks required.
Knowledge of Gerber software system preferred.
