$82,861-$106,395 annually, plus up to $22,773 annually to offset the cost of medical, dental, vision, or other optional benefits.
Supervises, assigns, reviews, and participates in the work of staff responsible for performing professional and technical engineering services; reviews a variety of plans for water and sewer improvement projects; reviews cost estimates, tract maps, legal descriptions, easements, master plans and hydraulic calculations; oversees construction progress of water and sewer improvements; reviews and processes change orders; ensures compliance with applicable codes and regulations; prepares a variety of technical reports including water and sewer rate reports, water rate surveys, and other reports as needed; ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures; and per-forms the more technical and complex tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
The ideal candidate will:
Perform challenging, mid-level professional duties.
Possess a strong engineering background with some project management experience.Have experience in purchasing, contracts, and bid and specification preparation.
Have water and/or sewer design experience.
Have experience with AutoCAD and/or GIS systems.
Have experience with report writing.
Have the ability to work autonomously and be able to multi-task.
Have the ability to investigate and track solutions.
One position is currently available in the Public Works Department.
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an ac-credited college or university with major course work in engineering or a related field.
Three years of increasingly responsible engineering experience.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license; and possession of an Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
Additional Salary Information: Plus up to $22,773 annually to offset the cost of medical, dental, vision, or other optional benefits.
