Primary JobResponsibilities: Technical specialist formulating and developing advanced engineering concepts, techniques, and standards Develops solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity Evaluates the desired goal of the system and develops, designs, or selects the required equipment, power controls, piping, structures and earthwork to achieve the goal Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects Become familiar with the client\u2019s expectations, overall scope and schedule for assigned work Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer May direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks Qualifications Associates degree in Mechanical Design or related field withadequate related CAD drafting training 10 - 15 years of experience required, drafting\/design Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred Other Essential Functions: Keen safety awareness Requires a some understanding of Manufacturing Practices andmaterial selection Good oral and written communication skills At Jacobs, we help prepare people for new opportunities and challenges. Jeffrey Jacobs is President of Jacobs Entertainment Inc, a film buying and marketing firm. He has 35 years of experience in the exhibition, marketing and distribution of American independent and international cinema in the U.S. He is perhaps best known as the founding film buyer for the Angelika Film Center in New York City which under his supervision (from opening day in 1989 until 1997) became the highest grossing art cinema in the country. He was the Managing Director and Film Buyer of the Paris Theatre from 1998 to 2009. At present, he programs over 50 movie theatre screens across the country.
