Sharp Consumer Display division is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with broad experience in brand creation and marketing communication. This unique individual will focus his/her creative energy on brand identity, campaign development and the creation of a broad range of marketing collateral and assets. This position requires the skills to interact across organizations, think quickly on their feet, and address challenges across all levels of design. Responsibilities will include hands-on work, project and schedule management, mentoring of interns or junior staff and oversight of external agencies.
Marketing and Sales support will include the creation of print and digital assets to communicate marketing campaigns on line, in print, trade shows as well as internal and external presentations. In this position, he/she will be involved with various strategic initiatives including website maintenance, social media, design strategy and program management. Attention to detail is a must, as well as the ability to work fluidly in a fast-paced environment and think holistically on brand-focused initiatives.
Collaborate closely and effectively with the sales and marketing team, product planning, and other key stakeholders to support communication activates that align to a strategic vision and meets business objectives.
Develop conceptual sketches and storyboards to effectively communicate proposed visuals and layouts that reflect marketing stories and strategy.
Create amazing presentation deliverables that may include advanced graphics, diagrams, multimedia content, and product renderings.
Provide creative support in maintaining internal and external web-related projects including, but not limited to websites, landing pages, email campaigns and social platforms.
Ability to design, layout and code creative designs into interactive web and email formats.
Developing content and graphics by coordinating with writers, developers and others; designing images, icons, banners, infographics, etc. as needed.
Telling the brand and business story through information and imagery.
Updating and managing our current landing pages, banners, websites and web ads.
Designing production quality digital graphics for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Ensuring graphic solutions are optimized for integration, performance, production and usability.
Developing product packaging designs that communicate the brand and product story at the point of sale. Creation and management of supporting product materials such as user guides, manuals and product collateral as well as the application of materials on website/landing pages.
Working with members of product development and sales team - brainstorming and collaborating with key stakeholders to develop brand strategies and marketing materials and ensure consistency of these various brand strategies across the portfolio.
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.
Minimum 5 - 7 years related work experience in graphic design. Experience working at technology lifestyle company preferred
Comfortable presenting cross-functionally and across all levels.
Extremely organized, detail oriented individual with strong project and time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and wear multiple hats.
Ability to provide creative input as well as take creative direction and constructive feedback.
Proficient in all design related programs. Intimate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
Experience working with Adobe Premiere a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
Clear understanding of user centric design principles, user experience design.
Strong understanding of the design process, best design practices and principles.
Positive, team player with ‘roll up your sleeves’, service-oriented attitude.
Understanding of program/project management principles and practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence teams and build effective working relationships with individuals and groups at all levels as well as successful collaboration with external partners.
