Roles\/Responsibilities Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents. Prepares routine drafting projects, such as the preparation of various drawings of structures and equipment systems derived from layouts and sketches. Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assists in design drafting. Consults with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Each Drafter\/CAD Operator IV shall have at least a bachelor\u2019s degree or higher from an accredited college or university and at least 12 years of task related experience. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent and at least 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit\/department.
