**About this Opportunity
As a CAD Drafter at Herman Miller, you'll be responsible for working with Engineers and Designers to produce drawings and CAD solid models from sketches, layouts, special instructions, and CAD models.

Communicate frequently with Product Development Engineers and Program Managers on assigned project teams.
Create engineering specification drawings and models to assist Product Development Engineering with minimal direction.
Create, maintain, and manage an assigned project master Model Assembly.
Leverage the functionality of our CAD solid modeling technology as applicable in the development of new products.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the PDM system.
Make changes and modifications to existing CAD drawings and models to support product maintenance.
Manage all CAD activities within a project.
Participate within the project and work team environments.
Participate in internal Herman Miller CAD user groups.
Participate within the project team functions of Design and Master Model reviews.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Understand and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as required.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
A Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts (preferred) or equivalent education and professional experience.
Zero to two years of professional CAD experience.
High personal performance standards, the desire and ability to continuously learn, and a results-oriented work style.
Proven organizational and time management skills. You must also be self-motivated and able to work and learn independently.
Demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proven competency in producing product development models and assemblies.
The ability to work cooperatively both in a team environment and independently.
The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
