As a Facilities Program Specialist, GS-0301-13, you will be responsible for:
- Creates, reviews, plans, analyzes and develops facility-related projects for the department.
- Evaluates, recommends, and facilitates implementation of new approaches and alternatives to space utilization to address current or anticipated problems.
- Serves as a consultant including technical assistance and resource management support for all facility space initiatives including furniture procurement, space design, and interior design matters.
- Provides leadership of the agency's Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) program including development of specifications, assessments of bids, and coordination of procurement and installation efforts.
- Provides advice and consultation to agency officials, customers, and Department leadership on all matters related to facility design and construction.
- Provides leadership in formulating methods for getting results through cooperative efforts, including outreach to all program constituents.
- Provides agency guidance material, policies, and/or strategic plans to support facilities initiatives and programs.

As a Facilities Program Specialist, GS-0301-14, you will be responsible for:
- Assesses, develops, and implements strategies for master planning of real estate portfolio.  Provides leadership of the Department's Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) program including development of specifications, assessments of bids, and coordination of procurement and installations efforts.
- Serves as agency expert and authoritative consultant including technical assistance and resource management support for all facility space initiatives including furniture procurement, space design, and interior design matters.
- Serves as an expert in facility space planning and design.  
- Creates, reviews, plans, analyzes and develops facility-related projects for the department.
- Provides authoritative advice and consultation to agency officials, customers, and Department leadership on all matters related to facility design and construction.
- Provides leadership in formulating methods for getting results through cooperative efforts, including outreach to all program constituents.
- Provides agency guidance material, policies, and/or strategic plans to support facilities initiatives and programs.,qualifications:Specialized Experience for the Facilities Program Specialist, GS-301-13One year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 performing all three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:
Experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position;
1.  Experience preparing budgets based on plans for building renovations, new construction alteration projects, or increase in services and processes to ensure program effectiveness.
2.  Experience utilizing AutoCAD, and preparing furniture design and layout; and facility design and project management.
3.  Experience coordinating and/or leading work requirements associated with programming, scoping, estimating, designing, monitoring, reviewing, and managing facilities design and construction projects.

Specialized Experience for the Facilities Program Specialist, GS-301-14One year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 performing all three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:
1.  Experience in administering space management, oversight of costs, personnel, quality of work, and work progression.
2.  Experience developing special facility projects related to construction, demolition, and space utilization.
3.  Experience resolving issues of facilities job status, priorities, milestones, tracking procedures and schedules to eliminate conflicts and facilitate timely project completion.

1.  Knowledge of Project management means and methods including scheduling, costing, and programming.
