Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) Capital Division is comprised of 18 hospitals, 6 Freestanding ERs and 140 Physician Practice Locations across 4 states.
The Marketing and Communication Department is currently seeking a Full Time Graphic Designer.
The Graphic Designer manages the creative process in order to enhance and promote the Division brand through consistency, quality, and creative promotion. You will be responsible for concept, design and production of internal and external marketing materials to support services and physicians across various media platforms. You will be an expert in the creation of marketing campaigns and visual content for interactive and mass media and thrive in a collaborative environment. You will demonstrate strong conceptual, design, and technical skills and must have solid experience creating materials for a range of online and offline channels across multiple platforms. You will coordinate and manage various design projects, vendors, production schedules and media placements to ensure deadlines are met and cost efficiencies are gained.
Some other key responsibilities include:
Follows branding and identity guidelines for all Division hospitals and physician practices.
Supports and maintains marketing/advertising and graphic standards
Concepts, designs, lays out, typesets and manages consumer and physician-focused print collateral: brochures, ads, flyers, postcards and other promotional materials
Coordinates and manages outsourcing of creative and printing to ensure deadlines are met, cost efficiencies are gained and brand standards are maintained
Resizes, converts and modifies existing creative, identity and interactive elements
Coordinates with marketing team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates
Manages, organizes and archives creative files and assets
Serves as department liaison for logo and photo requests
Researches and searches for stock photography
Completes photo conversions, manipulation and editing
Manages and maintains online content hub / marketing portal for the division
Establishes and maintains professional relationships with internal, external clients and print vendors
Designs effective training and presentation templates
Maintains a clean and well-organized Graphics/Desktop Publishing area
Interprets and performs design specifications with accuracy and attention to detail
Prepares digital ads for desktop and mobile, static and animated files, web elements, infographics, site banners, wireframes, social media fan pages
Creates traditional print ads, direct mail, out-of-home advertising, and collaterals, including multi-page brochures
Gives and takes direction in a constructive way
Bachelor’s Degree (required)
Minimum of 5yrs of experience as a graphic designer in an industry, corporate or agency environment (required)
Advanced skills in identity/branding, typesetting, copywriting, print and production (pre-press) design. Experience in traditional and digital design applications - Google Double Click studios, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) on PC or Mac. General knowledge of computers, file compression, PDF’s, fonts and operating system conversion processes (PC to Mac; Mac to PC). Must have a good understanding of basic design principles and elements such as balance, typography, color, and paper. Knowledge of printing process (required)
Strong proofreading skills, accurate type corrections, as well as an eye for kerning, alignment and positioning of type. Excellent organization, communication, multi-tasking and strategic-thinking skills. Flexibility, good judgment and attention to detail. Convey ideas and information clearly, concisely and persuasively. Must work well with others in a fast-paced team-oriented creative environment (required)
