The CAD

Drafter Intern will perform basic drawing creations and revision from

drawing markups and Engineering sketches in accordance with accepted drafting

standards under the guidance of / in support of senior drafters.

 

This position will serve our Air Division,

located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This internship is a part time role, during the full calendar year, that will be on-going, and could last until graduation. 

 

','!*!WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Apply drafting and

computer-aided design (CAD) standards and CAD software to simple component

drawings.Create simple sheet

metal component and assembly three dimensional part drawings from markups and

engineering sketches.Operate computer

systems to create and manage task documentation and data, task result and

project status reporting.Manage electronic

communications, assigned tasks and task documentation in accordance with

company policy.Provide regular

verbal and written reports summarizing project activity, conditions,

procedures, results, conclusions and recommendations to project leaders.Complete assigned

tasks and participate in R&D design development teams according to defined

requirements.

 

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

Full time student

working towards an Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree, Vo-tech Degree or

equivalent experience. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the

concepts of:sheet metal and

assembly design conceptsgeneral drafting

standards and CAD systems concepts interpersonal,

verbal and written communication
