Function: Product Engineering Your Responsibilities As a Product Design Engineer , for the John Deere Construction & Forestry Division (Dubuque Works), you will participate on multiple vehicle teams with a primary focus on HVAC systems. In addition, you will: Develop design and implement HVAC Solutions across the division to support current and future product offerings. Participate on internal teams to drive methodology, processes, and tools to design HVAC systems. Provide problem solving for HVAC issues on new product development and current production. Participate on new product development teams, ensuring design activities and plans are formulated and followed. Provide leadership for the HVAC functional area. Develop mounting structures, hose assemblies, air duct routing for HVAC systems on construction and forestry applications. Maintain effective communication with the vehicle teams. What Skills You Need 3 or more years of previous Engineering experience performing analysis, testing and\/or design work for a defined portion of a project. Basic knowledge of HVAC components, such as compressors, condensers, and air routing. Basic knowledge of both physical and analytical evaluation techniques (CFD) used to demonstrate the performance and durability HVAC systems. Intermediate knowledge of 3Dmodeling software, such as Creo (Pro-E). Ability to work with suppliers in the application and design of HVAC components. Ability to write Requirement Documents. What Makes You Stand Out Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include: Mechanical design experience. Windchill PDM Link application experience. Experience with construction or forestry equipment design, methods and tools. Operational experience with construction equipment. Basic fundamental knowledge of SAP. Experience with Creo (Pro-E). Education (or equivalent work experience) Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering.
