With the world quickly becoming more technically advanced, more jobs are using computer-aided draft and design (CADD). Many fields are now using CADD services to help them create more accurate, precise drafts to save time and limit the amount of hand sketches and drawings they have to do. This is very helpful in looking at 3-D models on the screen and diagnosing problems quickly. The original use of computer-aided drafting and design was used in the aerospace program. Computers and computer programs were very expensive and the aerospace program was the only one who could afford such technology at the time.

Many fields now use CADD services to enhance their productivity and efficiency. Such fields include aerospace, interior design, fashion design, graphic design, civil engineering, landscape architecture, drafting, tool and die making, motor vehicle and parts manufacturing, and general commercial and industrial design.

The aerospace field has used CADD services longer than any other industry and continues to use them to help manufacture, design, and test parts for helicopters, rockets, fighter jets, and spacecrafts. These parts are very expensive to manufacture, so a minimum of errors is essential to reduce the money invested in them.

Interior designers use CADD to design a 3-D plan in great detail and present it to clients. They may then make changes based on the clients' likes and dislikes. The client can get a better sense of the project and can see the completed project without having even put the first coat of paint on the walls. By using CADD services, the interior designer can estimate the cost of materials before hand as well.

Fashion designers also use CADD to limit the amount of hand drawings, since they can translate sketches to the computer. CADD services allow fashion designers to view their handbags, suits, dresses, and shoes in multiple colors and patterns. This allows fashion designers to limit the number of prototypes made later in the design process.

Graphic designers or graphic artists deal in many different aspects of design. Graphic designers can use CADD to create, plan, and analyze any type of product, like logos for a company, marketing brochures, promotional displays, and the layouts of many printed materials and Web pages.

Civil engineers use CADD services frequently to help them construct and design water/sewage systems, bridges, highways, buildings, and dams. Civil engineers must perform many experiments and tests to find the best solutions possible by analyzing data and performing calculations using CADD programs.

Landscape architects use CADD services to plan for a given site and to give an idea to the client of what the final design will look like. The landscapes can be rather large, so it is very important to have a solid design before beginning. Landscape architects must take into account many regulations, and by using CADD, they can be well prepared.

Drafters use CADD drafting software to electronically store and save previous hand drawings so they can make corrections and alter them quickly. Drafters still use the traditional methods of drawing by using protractors, pencils, pens, triangles, and compasses, but CADD using services is a way to edit efficiently without having to redraw everything.

Tool and die makers also use CADD services to help develop blueprints for everyday products we use. Computer aided manufacturing programs are necessary for tool and die makers to accurately calculate the size and shape for a specific tool. These machines take the electronic drawings, convert them, and create the tool with the instructions in the electronic drawings. CADD is a vital part of the tool-and-die industry.

Motor vehicle and parts manufacturing also use CADD services a great deal as well to design, test, and to analyze the many parts of a vehicle. Vehicles are complex machines that require many precise parts to be made so cars, trucks, vans, and motorcycles run effectively.

Machine manufacturing uses CADD to help produce the components used in machines for construction, industrial work, mining, agriculture, and commercial work. CADD services are extremely important in this line of work because producing quality machinery leads to other products and services to be built.

CADD services can be highly complex, so keeping up with the latest developments in CADD software may be difficult. Many people start out with a simple CADD program and gradually work their way up to the more-advanced systems as they feel comfortable.

CADD is a great tool to use and can be greatly beneficial to virtually every manufacturing industry. Even with the CADD services now easily available, you must still know the basic principles if you wish to work in this field. CADD services are used as one of the many tools to design, test, analyze, produce, and manufacture a product.
