PCB CAD Librarian Jobs
A PCB CAD librarian is responsible for part creation i.e. symbols, footprints and geometries and CAD library management. A PCB CAD librarian participates in the software engineering team in auto footprint creation. It is the responsibility of a PCB CAD librarian to develop and maintain electrical CAD symbols using Cadence Allegro for footprint geometries and DX-Designer for electrical logic symbols. A PCB CAD creates and maintains Logic symbol libraries for DX-Designer and registers logic symbols using DX-Databook and maintaining package types for PCB Layout. A PCB CAD librarian should be apt at understanding component manufacturers’ data sheets and orthographic projection. A PCB CAD librarian should be well conversant with software tools like Cadence Allegro, Mentor DX-Designer & Mentor DX-Databook. It is the responsibility of a PCB CAD librarian to maintain padstack libraries.
A PCB CAD librarian should possess a bachelor’s degree and a diploma in CAD. A PCB CAD librarian should be well conversant with MS Office and Cadence, Mentor Graphics and PADS and should possess experience in EDA with Mentor Graphics, Expedition tools performing CAD administration and library functions or schematic circuit design in the CAD design flow.
