CAD Draftsman Jobs
A CAD draftsman is responsible for preparing architectural design, AutoCAD drafting of architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical as well as as-build drawings and red line drawings. A CAD draftsman has to visit sites and prepare progress reports. A CAD draftsman uses AutoCAD to perform design tasks and produce drawings. It is the responsibility of a CAD draftsman to generate shop drawings and fabrications drawings A CAD draftsman works in coordination with the engineering department, the project management department, the purchase department, the manufacturing department as well as the sales department. A CAD draftsman is responsible for creating, maintaining and updating drawings to ensure timely manufacture of products. A CAD draftsman should have the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
A CAD draftsman should possess a diploma or a bachelor’s degree in architecture and drafting technology and should be proficient with CAD, Microsoft Software, Adobe PDF and Photoshop. He should have strong communicational and organizational skills with experience in design or manufacturing environment.
