CAD Tech Jobs
A CAD tech professional leads a CAD team and prepares designs such as mechanical and electrical using AutoCAD. A CAD tech professional is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the drawings. A CAD tech professional reviews contract drawings and specifications and coordinates design and scope as well as all aspects of material and module components with internal as well as external customers. It is the responsibility of a CAD tech professional to work in coordination with other drafters so as to prepare and maintain drawing templates, standard part details and company Enterprise Resource Planning database. A CAD tech professional prepares database records, microfiche and electronic files and material order forms for custom and standard materials. A CAD tech professional manipulates raster images for electronic mapping. A CAD tech provides technical support on CAD software and troubleshoots and configures mapping software.
A CAD tech professional should posses a bachelor’s degree with experience as a designer or a detailer. A CAD tech professional should have sound knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks. A CAD tech professional should also have the knowledge of MEP components and systems.
