CAD Engineer Jobs description
A CAD engineer executes design engineering by applying 3-D modeling, part definition and documentation techniques. A CAD engineer reviews the installation and detail drawings and ensures their compliance with the project given. A CAD engineer participates in planning product development programs and if needed provides features in models for tooling and manufacturing. A CAD engineer is responsible for maintaining and drawing database and ensuring that correct drawings and documentation is made available to the manufacturing department. A CAD engineer provides supports to CAD tools and methodology applications and reviews and checks the quality of the CAD inputs. A CAD engineer is responsible for software installation, license management, user support and vendor interface as well as developing internal solutions in order to enhance and improve the methodology and design.A CAD engineer should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics. He should have strong communication and analytical skills and should be conversant with VLSI design and UNIX computing environment, C-Shell, C/C++ and other software languages with experience in handling EDA tools.
